Why it matters

A claim is easy to ask for. Evidence is harder to find.

Most sourcing begins after the animals have already been produced.

That leaves buyers choosing from what appears at the end of the chain. KaiProva creates an earlier view, so the requirement can help shape supply while the animals are still growing.

Permission stays with the farmer

A buyer view does not make private farm data public. Farmers choose when their records enter a programme or sourcing conversation.

Visibility is not a contract

Seen, expected and available are different things. A supply commitment exists only when the parties agree one.

The claim only goes as far as the evidence

If the lifetime record has a gap, the gap remains visible. KaiProva does not turn missing information into certainty.

The first supported attribute

AgResearch modelled the carbon footprint of New Zealand pastoral young dairy beef finished at 10–18 months, across 54 production scenarios.

KaiProva calculates from there, applying that published research to each animal’s own growth history and final processing result. The research describes the production system; the record is what makes the number that animal’s.
